The first thing I notice from the 'participating alliances' is that IG and DS5 are represented. My question is are we going to have players jumping in and out of alliances as it suits them. I think we all know that IG & DS5 are the same thing. If an alliance has low number of players during a war will they be allowed to draft in players from other alliances. This would be unfair in my opinion if you start with a team you stay in a team during the period of the war?

After the original teams are set and started, no new players are allowed join and you are right to worry about this. DS5 and IG are currently considered as 2 different alliances, and only players from the chosen alliances may join in (this may change, but that is how I see it in this current time). So if IG are fighting NF and First in the arena, no member from DS5 may join them.
Until the 6 day period is over, no player may join, leave/be kicked from, the battling allies.

I would like to go further and say that its not necessary all players to be from same alliance.....i would love to try playing with players that i never been in same alliance (eg. NF, First, Brothers and so on...)

Then talk to the leader before their turn and ask to be notified so you can join in.There are 6 days per "War" so you have ample time to talk to the other leaders

The actual alliances will not participate in the ARENA so jumping back and forth and 20 alts will no longer be necessary parts of game play. I do not want to jump the gun as the plan for the ARENA is being reviewed by ghut to be sure it is practical but I can tell you what was proposed to ghut. Those who volunteer to Lead (start) the 3 (?) ARENA alliances will actually conduct a staggered draft from all the applicants, that is to say, if ArisQ, El Toro and Scarface (just to pick names) wanted to be leaders in an ARENA starting in 2 days, they would post (perhaps here .. question to be addressed) the names of their alliances. Those who want to participate will "LEAVE" their alliance and apply to ALL 3 alliances (at least 2?). The following day (time lag to be determined)the 3 leaders will meet in a Chatzy room and conduct a staggered draft (rules for the order and # of picks per round to be determined). As each pick is made that leader ACCEPTS and in so doing the apps to the other 2 alliances are dropped by Kabam. In this way, the leader has the opportunity to pick for mapping, availability, time zone ... whatever (s)he feels is of value, till all applicants are selected. When the war is to start, each leader must select a good starting placement for their alliance, likely based on their view of the value of the node in the vicinity. These elements add (we hope) a great deal of strategy while bringing players from across the map together to play. Again, like so much else, this may not be perfect but, as with all aspects of this experiment, we can adjust it as we gain experience.
